Both Tom and Matt were really friendly, helpful and professional. I had initially wanted to get some scratches/ dents repaired as I was giving my lease car back, but they recommended getting an inspection instead as things you think need fixing often won’t get noticed/ would come under normal wear and tear. They concluded that there would be nothing worth getting done before I give the car back, as it was all more or less wear and tear which they may or may not try to charge me for. I gave the car back and have had no extra charges to pay, so the inspection was well worth the £80, as it saved me hundreds! Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Hands down 5-star service. Had my car ceramic coated by New Again and they did a quality job. The finish looks unbelievable and the whole experience was very professional from start to finish. It's clear to see they're honest, upfront, knowledgeable people who take real pride in what they do. If you’re looking to get a ceramic coating done in Chelmsford or anywhere in Essex, these are 100% your people.

Booked in for water leak diagnosis / repairs Very professional team and evident they take pride in what they do. Do feel disappointed that they couldn’t estimate a minimum cost for a job to assist in whether it would be worth booking in for a water leak repair or when arriving the honest approach of being told my vehicle value would not be worth it. For anyone like me, If you have any visible water pooling in your car and good idea what is causing it, you will be looking at least £1500+ for repair. Mainly on labour of removing seats and drying costs. They will not complete any work to your car unless it is completely dry inside to keep to their guarantee which is understandable. So there is no picking and choosing what you’d like to possibly save some money. I’d recommend if you have a high value car over £10K for water leaks repairs. If it’s not worth this I’d be looking at local garages to complete the job if you likely know what the problem is. Courtesy Car is more of a rental (unless they wavier the costs if you take out their work, I wouldn’t know this as didn't have repairs works completed) it’s £80 flat rate but then £50 insurance cost needed or faff of going through your own insurance to take it. Worth asking how long they may take on drop off to review your car as my be worth hanging around in Chelmsford for a bit of you have a further drive and uncertain of what the cost would be and if you’d like work to go ahead. I planned for this to be 1-2 days as that’s what I was advised at booking this however got it back within 1-2hrs following drop off. 5 stars for professionalism and customer service (Tom - very professional in handling disgruntled customers) very quick at getting reviewed and quote completed. Awarded 3 stars as a balance purely on not being able to say the car isn’t worth the work or being able to provide a minimum work amount if water is pooling and due to a few extra charges around Courtesy Car.

Overpriced, poor attention to detail and inexperienced management. To top it all off they have torn my cabriolet roof lining where it meets the plastic rear window. These things can happen accidentally when cleaning but they conveniently forgot to tell me. Could I recommend? Absolutely not.

I visited New Again about a week ago to investigate water leaks in my car. Upon arrival, I pointed out the areas where I suspected leaks and asked for a rough price range before any major work was carried out. Unfortunately, I never received any estimate at that stage. After inspecting the vehicle, I was informed that there were leaks coming from the front passenger door seal, tailgate seal, fuel housing, and air vents. Around two hours after leaving the car with them, I received a quote totalling £2,395, which I found extremely excessive. What was even more concerning was my conversation with Tom, who told me that I could not pick and choose which items from the quote I wanted to proceed with. For example, I was told I would have to pay £380 to remove, refit, reseal, and condition all four door rubbers-even though only one door had a leak. This “all or nothing” approach felt unreasonable and inflexible. My wife witnessed the call and was equally surprised. Several quoted services also seemed unnecessary or overpriced. For instance: • Resetting the ABS light after seat removal was quoted at £25+VAT • Drying the car for two days was quoted at £243+VAT (something I can do myself at home with a professional Bosch dehumidifier) • Removing and refitting the fuel housing was quoted at £158+VAT These are tasks I could either handle myself or have completed elsewhere at a significantly lower cost. To make matters worse, when I went to collect the car the following Saturday, another team member informed me that I actually could pick and choose from the quote, and that Tom had been mistaken. While he apologised, this inconsistency caused significant inconvenience. I live nearly 3 hours away, and had I known this earlier, I might have agreed to selective work—though even then, their pricing is considerably higher than many garages in and around London. As an example, Lexus quoted me less for supplying four brand new door seals than New Again charged just to work on the existing ones. The most disappointing part of the experience was the condition of my car upon collection. The interior had not been properly reassembled-several plastic trims were left loose or completely unattached, and parts were simply placed inside the car rather than refitted (photo proof). As a result, interior panels and trims appear to have been scratched or marked, likely from being left unsecured during handling (photos of the inspection). The seats were not positioned correctly, and the car was left extremely dusty. Additionally, the interior pillars showed visible dirty marks and scuffs, which were not present before and were likely caused during removal and refitting. This level of carelessness is unacceptable, especially considering the £150 inspection fee. My experience was very disappointing. For future customers, I strongly recommend that New Again clearly explains whether quotes are flexible or not and ENSURES vehicles are properly reassembled, handled with care, and returned in a clean condition after inspection. UPDATE To clarify the main issue is not the cost of the repair or the leaks themselves. My concern is entirely on how my vehicle was handled, dismantled, damaged and returned to me. Two of the photos, I posted include screenshots taken from New Again’s own inspection video, which clearly show interior plastic trims and components being removed during the inspection while the technician was moving around the vehicle, without careful handling or organisation outside the vehicle. Due to this negligence, my dashboard now has visible scratches, the passenger pillar is dirty and the passenger seat also has been damaged. The other two photos show the condition of the car at collection, which further reflects how it was returned to me. I suggested a resolution involving a refund of the inspection fee & professional scratch repair carried out locally. The business responded, but their reply focused on disputing aspects of my quote rather than addressing the core issue I raised regarding the condition in which the vehicle was returned.
