MobilePitStop - Valeting & Detailing

MobilePitStop is a mobile car valeting and detailing service covering Cheshire, Merseyside and Flintshire. We come to your home, workplace or fleet site with our own water supply, professional equipment and a 45-metre power lead — all we need from you is a standard plug socket and room to work around the car. There's no garage drop-off and no losing half a day to it.

We handle two different kinds of work, and we're straight with customers about which one they actually need.

Valeting is cleaning the car properly. A Mini Valet from £50 is a maintenance wash inside and out — snow foam pre-wash, safe hand wash, wheels and arches, full drying, streak-free glass and an interior vacuum. An Interior Deep Clean from £60 goes considerably further: compressed air through every crevice, deep vacuum of seats, carpets, mats and boot, steam sanitising of the touch points, plastics scrubbed and glass cleaned. An Exterior Deep Clean from £60 adds chemical decontamination that dissolves tar, iron fallout and road film off the paint before anything touches it. A Full Valet from £100 covers both, and our Premium package from £180 includes clay bar treatment and full interior steam, shampoo and extraction as standard.

Detailing is correcting the paint itself, and it's a different job entirely. Most cars we see carry swirl marks — fine circular scratches that appear as cobwebbing in direct sunlight. They come from how a car has been washed, not from age: automatic washes and busy hand car washes drag grit across the clear coat, and no amount of cleaning removes them afterwards because the damage is in the paint rather than on it. A 1-stage machine polish from £275 removes them across every panel and the glass. A 1-year ceramic coating from £385 goes on over corrected paint, so it seals in a polished finish rather than sealing in the damage, with Glaco hydrophobic coating on the glass. Both prices are all-in — the deep clean and clay bar preparation are included.

We also run a specialist odour removal service from £120 for cigarette smoke, spilt milk, pet and bio odours, removing the source with steam, shampoo and extraction before treating the cabin with ozone or chlorine dioxide.

For customers who want a car kept right rather than rescued twice a year, our maintenance plan takes up to 30% off every visit with free chemical decontamination included each time. No contract and no direct debit.

We're fully insured with public liability and goods-in-custody cover. Travel is free within roughly 20 miles of Ellesmere Port.

What makes us different is that we'll tell you when the cheaper option is the right one. If your paint just needs washing, we'll say so rather than sell you a polish.
